We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Location: Logistics Officer (Corporate Sales)

Job Purpose

  • The role will support in ensuring timely product delivery, avoid cement stockout at customers’ site and optimal bulk asset utilisation. ensuring timely product delivery, optimal inventory management at customers’ site and seamless collaboration between sales, plant operations, and customers.
  • The role is critical to customer satisfaction, supply reliability, and operational efficiency in bulk and project-based sales.
  • The Logistics Officer – Corporate Sale is responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting bulk cement dispatch assets both at customers’ sites and during transit.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Planning & Execution:

  • Monitor shipment progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Support the optimization of truck allocation, routing, and delivery timelines to reduce delays and cost.
  • Validate the daily dispatch Plan for the delivery of cement to customers and project sites, based on data generated from within customer’s geofence and GIT

Stakeholder Management Support:

  • Provide timely updates on order dispatch status and delivery schedules.
  • Manage EPOD process and ensure correct reporting for accurate invoicing
  • Resolve delivery issues, complaints, or service disruptions efficiently.
  • Provide data required to drive liaison between corporate clients sales team, and l transport units.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records for audit and compliance purposes.

Inventory & Supply Management:

  • Monitor stock levels at customers’ sites where the VMI system has been deployed.
  • Flag potential stock shortages or overstock situations for proactive action.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Track logistics performance KPIs such as delivery turnaround time, order fulfillment rate, and transport utilization.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics and delivery reports
  • Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Cost & Efficiency Optimization:

  • Minimize delivery delays, truck idle time, and inefficiencies in dispatch operations.
  • Monitor logistics costs (fuel, haulage, demurrage) and support cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Improve coordination processes to enhance turnaround time and service quality.

  • Logistics cost per ton

  • Order fulfillment rate (%)
  • Truck utilization and downtime
  • Average delivery turnaround time
  • Number of delivery issues/complaints resolved
  • On-time delivery performance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience handling bulk deliveries, project logistics, or industrial distribution is a strong advantage
  • 3–6 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or sales operations, preferably in cement or building materials
