We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Controller, Inventory

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job type: Full-time (Onsite)

Job Function

  • Responsible functionally to the Customer Service Manager, controlling the flow of goods, including receipt, storage, issues, and other inventory management functions, and keeping accurate accounting and records of stock items.

Key Performance Areas
Stock Management:

  • Maintain compliance with operating procedures in terms of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) and adherence to SOP/ SLA agreed with clients.
  • Unpack and assemble incoming items and check for condition, quantity, and type against shipping documents, and fix stock identification tags where applicable.
  • Post stock receipts and issues into the respective stock physical binders of each client immediately after any transaction.
  • In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Pharmacist/CSM, update stock expiry status (Stock Expiry Reports), damaged, expired stock, etc., and place damaged/expired stocks in the quarantine bay. Escalation of all damaged, expired, and faulty stocks to the CSM and Quality Assurance Pharmacist, and ensure they are separated from sound stock physically.
  • Issue warehouse stocks to fill requisitions as required.
  • Performs warehousing and storekeeping tasks, receiving, identifying, handling, storing, and issuing clients’ stock.
  • Determine appropriate storage locations, placement of stocks, and warehouse arrangement to maximise space utilization in the warehouse.
  • In conjunction with the CSM and clients’ representatives, establish delivery priorities and delivery destination points through coordinated activities.

Stock reporting:

  • Take physical inventory checks on a regular basis and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly. Escalate to CSM all observed discrepancies within 24 hours.
  • Provide accurate records of physical stocks in the warehouse whenever required.

GWP:

  • Ensures warehouse and stock safety, proper storage conditions, temperatures, practices, and methods are maintained.
  • Manage all warehousing processes in line with clients' SOPs/SLAs
  • Maintain Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).

Assets:

  • Monitor the safety, security, and cleanliness of the warehouse and report accordingly.
  • Ensure the protection of the company’s assets against careless handling and fraudulent practices. · Supervise operators of material handling equipment (forklifts) used in the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods within warehouse areas

HSE:

  • Shall promote a culture of safety and align with MDS HSEQ policy and guidelines.
  • Participation in TQS and HSE meetings and carrying out agreed action points.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree / HND in Natural/Social Sciences or any other disciplines.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Inventory management experience
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite or related software
  • Customer service experience
  • WMS experience
  • 1-2 years post-qualification experience in warehousing, inventory management, store keeping, or customer service
  • Process or workflow management
