Job Position: Site Engineer (Electrical / Civil)
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Summary
- We are seeking a versatile and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in Electrical or Civil Engineering to oversee construction and installation activities at our project sites in Ikeja, Lagos.
- The ideal candidate will manage the integration of electrical systems (power, lighting, cabling, switchgear) with civil works (foundations, structures, finishing), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- This is a full-time, on-site role requiring hands-on engineering expertise and strong coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution:
- Oversee day-to-day civil construction activities, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Supervise site labor, subcontractors, and vendors for structural, finishing, and earthworks activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all civil works comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Perform material testing and quality checks on structural and finishing works.
- Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies on site promptly.
Electrical Systems Installation & Supervision:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, cabling, switchgear, transformers, and backup power systems (generators, UPS).
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) standards, IEC codes, and project specifications.
- Supervise electrical subcontractors and ensure proper cable routing, earthing, and termination procedures.
MEP Coordination:
- Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and load calculations to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Project Coordination & Reporting:
- Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports covering both civil and electrical activities.
- Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols on site.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all site personnel are equipped with appropriate safety gear.
Resource Management:
- Manage materials, equipment, and resources efficiently to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Track material usage and coordinate timely procurement of required supplies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng /B.Sc.)or HND in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of post-NYSC experience in civil engineering and electrical systems installation, preferably in building construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- COREN registration or membership with NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers) is an added advantage.
- Civil:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools; strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting, and earthing systems; ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
- Familiarity with project management tools and MS Office Suite.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
