Job Position: Logistics Specialist

Job Location: Ogun

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage and streamline our supply chain, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and material dispatch operations.
• This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth import of manufacturing equipment and raw materials, as well as the efficient distribution of finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import/export logistics, including shipping schedules, freight tracking, and port clearance procedures.
• Manage relationships with clearing agents, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies (Customs, NEPZA, Standards Organization, etc.).
• Prepare, inspect, and verify all essential logistics documentation (Form M, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin).
• Oversee warehouse inventory movement, loading/unloading operations, and inland transport fleet routing.
• Track shipment delivery timelines and resolve delays, custom holds, or transit issues proactively.
• Monitor logistics costs, audit freight invoices, and implement cost-saving measures across the supply chain.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Nigerian customs procedures, port clearance regulations, and Free Zone operational guidelines.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics software/ERP systems for inventory tracking and report generation.
• Attributes: Strong negotiation abilities, detail-oriented mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
