We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Analyst Lead

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • Lead inventory optimisation and analytics activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate accuracy of material specifications, attributes, classifications, and valuation data.
  • Oversee creation, review, update, and approval of material master records in ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM).
  • Work with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams in improving physical and system inventory alignment.
  • Establish and enforce material master data governance frameworks, coding standards, naming conventions, and quality controls.
  • Manage mass updates, data migration tasks, and corrections arising from system upgrades (e.g., S/4HANA transitions).
  • Lead and supervise the Material Stock Auditor/Analyst and Coding Analyst teams, ensuring workload prioritization, performance management, and skills development.
  • Analyze movement histories, consumption patterns, lead times, safety stock, and reorder parameters to support inventory optimization.
  • Act as the primary authority for material taxonomy, material groups, valuation classes, and classification structures.
  • Support procurement sourcing decisions by ensuring accurate classification and standard descriptions.
  • Provide insights to reduce overstock, stockouts, slow-moving inventory, and non-moving stock categories.
  • Generate executive-level dashboards and reports on: Data quality KPI, Inventory health and valuation risks, Duplicate/incorrect material trends.
  • Support audits (internal/external) with accurate material master and inventory data.
  • Lead material inventory audits to identify duplicate, obsolete, or misclassified materials.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant industrial Standards.
  • Work with Finance teams on inventory valuation integrity and material cost controls.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Work experience: 5-7 years of inventory management or relevant discipline. Strong Analytical, and project management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Problem-solving, process improvement, and decision-making capability.
  • Proficiency in SAP Material Management (SAP MM).
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration ability.
  • Experience in inventory analysis
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
