We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Coding Analyst

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Key Responsibilities

  • Coding supervision ensures that items are assigned standardized codes (e.g., SKU, part numbers, barcodes), which helps to avoid duplication of records, maintain uniform naming conventions and facilitate easy identification and classification of items.

Job Purpose / Objective

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of material descriptions and attributes.
  • Apply industry-standard coding systems (e.g. Internal taxonomy).
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture
  • Supervise and mentor junior coding analysts or programmers.
  • Supervise and mentor coding staff.
  • Collaborate with software developers for system testing and maintenance.
  • Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Serve as a point of contact for coding-related queries and system issues.
  • Create, update, and maintain material codes in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Review and analyse complex coding cases and ensure accuracy in code assignment.
  • Ensures accurate classification and coding of materials in inventory systems to support procurement, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Generate and reconcile coding reports.
  • Coordinate team schedules, workload distribution, and performance reviews.
  • Resolve discrepancies in coding and billing documentation.
  • Manage workload distribution, performance evaluations, and training.
  • Oversee coding operations and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Provide training and in-service education on coding practices and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy for billing and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain updated documentation of workflows and coding guidelines.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Strong knowledge of coding systems, and project management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Engineering, Business Management or related fields.
  • 5-7 years of progressive coding or programming experience and Inventory Management.

Required Skills:

  • Coordinate with IT teams for testing and maintenance of coding systems.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvement and system upgrades.
  • Stay updated with coding updates and regulatory changes.
  • Write reports, deliver presentations, and lead training sessions.
  • Oversee coding operations and workflow optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of coding systems such as SAP
  • Experience with coding platforms (e.g., SAP and data analytics tools.
