We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Well Services Superintendent

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Role Overview

  • Working closely with operations, engineering, and client teams, the role drives operational excellence, asset reliability, and exceptional service delivery.
  • The role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and commercially successful coiled tubing (CT), slickline, and wireline services while driving the Company's core well services revenue.
  • The successful candidate will ensure every well intervention is executed to the highest HSE and technical standards, with verified well barriers, complete operational documentation, and full compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
  • The Well Services Superintendent is expected to lead the planning and execution of well intervention, completion, workover, and well integrity operations.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Delivery Outcomes:

  • Deliver ME-08’s first revenue: slickline and wireline active within 6 months, CT tendered and active per pipeline.
  • Zero pressure-control failures across all intervention operations.
  • Unit utilization ? 60% within 12 months of each activation.

Functional / Operational Responsibilities:

  • W3 owner: job design (force/tension, barriers, PCE stack-up), execution oversight, post-job reporting ? 48 hrs, unit turnaround.
  • W4 owner: completion/workover programs, barrier verification, handover dossiers ? 10 days, integrity anomaly management.
  • Signed job tickets as the invoicing record — disciplined handoff to ME-18.
  • Job-mix and margin analysis monthly to DW-01 for the commercial plan.

Governance, Controls & Compliance:

  • Live-well workover kill/barrier plans require DW-01 approval.
  • PCE tested before every job; charts retained; anomalies reported to clients in writing ? 24 hrs.
  • No job without signed program, verified barriers and current unit certification.

Stakeholder & Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Client production/well-services teams; unit crews; DW-04 for complex job review; DW-05 for unit certification.
  • Pumping/stimulation and tool-rental partners; ME-10 for redress kits and consumables.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. / B.Eng. Petroleum / Mechanical or HND with equivalent progression.
  • IWCF (well intervention pathway) current; unit-specific certifications (CT/WL/SL) per matrix.

Experience:

  • 10+ years well intervention/completions including supervisory time on CT and wireline operations; Niger Delta well stock familiarity preferred.
  • Completion running and workover program experience on land/swamp wells.

Technical Skills & Systems:

  • CT force modelling; wireline/slickline job design; PCE stack-up standards; barrier policy; completion schematics; fishing decision-making.
