We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Record-to Report & Tax Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The successful candidate will manage the Record-to-Report (F4) and Tax & Compliance (F6) processes, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end close, complete reconciliations, statutory compliance and audit readiness across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate General Ledger records and accounting journals.
  • Perform bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, inter-ME and other balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Support timely month-end and year-end financial close.
  • Support preparation of statutory financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage tax and statutory compliance, including CIT, VAT, WHT and PAYE requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Coordinate tax and external audit requirements and respond to information requests.
  • Maintain the fixed-asset register and coordinate annual asset verification.
  • Ensure strong financial controls, proper documentation and timely resolution of reconciliation items.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, tax accounting or a related Finance role.
  • ICAN (ACA) or ACCA required; near-complete candidates may be considered.
  • CITN qualification/membership is strongly preferred.
  • Practical experience with FIRS and State IRS filings and external audit processes.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax requirements, reconciliations, consolidation and financial close.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in EPCIC, construction, oil & gas, energy or other project-based environments is an advantage.
