Description

• Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring workplace compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) laws, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety.

Responsibilities

• Compliance monitoring: Inspect employees, operations, and equipment for adherence to safety laws.
• Reporting: Maintain safety records, prepare reports, and track statistics.
• Health & safety plans: Develop and execute workplace safety plans according to legal guidelines.
• Training programs: Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and accident prevention sessions.
• Policy implementation: Establish and enforce safety policies to reduce occupational hazards.
• Risk assessments: Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to identify risks.
