We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supply Base East Supervisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • The services required is to provide safe, reliable and on-time delivery of Supply Base Company Site Representation and Supervisory Services, including coordination and administrative support and quality control at the Renaissance contracted Supply Bases to enable reduced non-conformity instances to ordered supplies, quality check at source and administrative support to the offshore/inshore support teams in delivering related items and logistics coordinated support to the Asset as well as team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve safe operations (Goal Zero), i.e., No Harm & No Leaks and No Ethical Breaches, acting as Company Representative and oversite function for other CSR.
  • Maintain effective interface between the Marine Operations, Quality Assurance and Resource
  • Support cargo carrying unit contract management by ensuring optimal utilization and quick turnaround.
  • Ensure that all equipment and vehicles at the base are regularly inspected, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Responsible for verifying the company’s material handling and port facilities management performance in line with contract at Onne/Port Harcourt (PH), safely, ethically, and transparently. Interpret Official Cargo manifest for all vessel shipment from Onne/PH base to inshore and viceversa.
  • Effectively track and manage equipment request and optimization to reduce cost and maximize value to the business. Track integrity status of equipment.
  • Support enhanced business planning and performance management for the Onne/PH operations and actively track actions to close-out. Collate weekly/monthly reports and KPI dashboard.
  • Deliver a coordinated demand scheduling for Supply Base activities across the Supply Bases.
  • Participate in and enforce emergency response protocols, drills, and base readiness.
  • Responsible for driving team compliance with the Goal Zero, IOGP Life Saving Rules, Safe Work Process, Permit Compliance/Tracking and other extant regulations while delivering on business targets in a responsible manner.
  • Coordination of team effort and meetings weekly.
  • Optimization in resolving key constraints within the Supply Chain and Logistics value chain.
  • Sustain barrier strengthening and effective management of transport risks, testing barriers with the Site Transport Risks Focal Point at the Onne/PH frontline.
  • Responsible for all inbound and outbound material movement and shipment onto/off vessel ensuring optimization of Supply Base Operations. Maintain the inventory as well as perform yard supervision.
  • Coordinate the management of accommodation and feeding of company personnel at work within the Onne Free Zone Base.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance base efficiency, safety, and costeffectiveness.
  • Prioritize safe, efficient planning and safe execution of all lifting and hoisting operations in line with company Lifting & Hoisting guidelines.
  • Actively support Management Facility Engagements at the Onne/PH Supply Base.
  • Set, review, and monitor effective space utilization regime of the stacking area of the supply base.
  • Responsible for warehouse management, stock/non-stock inventory management and reconciliation through the warehouses and onboarding new personnel.
  • Ensure strict compliance to the company procurement guidelines for all supplies and service provision to the Onne/PH supply base. Be aware and comply with subcontracting guidelines.
  • Maintain effective oversight over the cargo carrying units request and supply to prevent value erosion in the supply chain. Maintain records of all cargo carry units and ensure they are certified and in compliance with recommended current lifting colour code and other relevant QA/QC activities.
  • Provide effective representation of the company’s interest while managing risks and delivering value to the business at Onne/PH Supply Bases.
  • Ensure all NPA pilotage and material handling bills are properly reconciled and accurate before service entry issuance/ processing.
  • Review all material handling activities via Job Sheet verification for effective cost control.
  • Key interfaces include Community Relations, Marine Logistics, Production, Wells Ops, Pipeline, Warehouse, Fuel, Audit/Assurance team. External interfaces include MARPOL, NUPRC, OGFZA, NPA etc.
  • Promote worker welfare and safety at the workplace/base facility.
  • Supervise and ensure daily stakeholders’ requests are properly addressed.
  • Ensure proper storage, packaging, and preservation of materials in transit and storage.
  • Any other role assigned by the Supply Base Lead.
  • Provide good safety leadership and sustain awareness for effective frontline work execution at the Onne/PH supply bases in the Supply Base East.
  • Ensure all contractor bills are properly reconciled and accurate before service entry issuance/ processing.
  • Synergize with the land transport logistics team for seamless trucking of materials to and from the base.
  • Ensure timely provision of Logistics and Supply Base Support in engagements, meeting the regularly changing demand of the various offshore/inshore assets.
  • Actively drive Layer of Defense 1 audit/hazard hunt of the supply base & port facilities in line with company standards and safety culture.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous process improvement and integrate HSSE awareness into every facet of the material handling and storage operations.
  • Provide and monitor contract administration at work locations.

Qualifications / Experience

  • HSSE Awareness, PTW course, MOC Awareness, First Line Spill Awareness CILT training/certification or any relevant certification is an added advantage.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • BSc / BEng in Social Science, Science, Management or Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Supply Base Management and warehouse operations including 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook Stakeholder and Interface Management
  • Customer Relationship, Supply Chain and Warehouse Management
