We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (Fleet Management & Rentals)

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

  • You will manage incoming hire bookings, schedule vehicle deployments, supervise drivers assigned to fleet trips, ensure vehicle roadworthiness, and execute seamless vehicle documentation and licensing renewals.
  • The Logistics Coordinator will serve as the engine of our rental and fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Rental & Hire Operations:

  • Van & Truck Hiring: Light vans and heavy-duty trucks for haulage, supply chain logistics, and client goods movement.
  • Inspect vehicles prior to and immediately following each rental term to document asset condition, mileage, and fuel levels.
  • Car Hiring & Luxury Vehicles: Sedan, SUV, and VIP executive vehicles (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover, Lexus) for weddings, airport pickups, and executive transport.
  • Bus Hiring: Coaster & Hiace buses for corporate shuttles, events, and group trips.
  • Dispatch drivers and assign fleet assets matching client specifications, budget, and trip schedules.
  • Manage day-to-day booking requests for all vehicle asset lines:

Vehicle Licensing & Documentation Management:

  • Process vehicle registration, license renewals, roadworthiness certificates, hackney permits, Tinted Permits, LASDRI, and commercial vehicle papers without delay.
  • Maintain a central digital database tracking expiration dates for all fleet documentation to ensure zero regulatory downtime or road penalties.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Vehicle Licensing Service division for external clients and DCLS fleet assets.

Fleet Maintenance & Asset Care:

  • Monitor fuel consumption, trip logs, and vehicle tracking devices (GPS) to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Perform rapid incident response and coordinate vehicle replacements or roadside assistance in cases of breakdowns or road emergencies.
  • Liaise with mechanics, auto-technicians, and service centers to schedule preventative maintenance, oil changes, and routine servicing across all fleet assets.

Client Communication & Booking Support:

  • Handle client complaints or emergency adjustments with high professionalism and speed.
  • Monitor trip executions in real time to ensure prompt pickup and drop-off times across Lagos and inter-state routes.
  • Provide instant quotes, rental terms, and invoicing details to incoming corporate and private rental inquiries.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Licensing Expertise: Hands-on experience dealing with state transport authorities (MVAA, FRSC, VIO) and processing vehicle licensing documentation.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in fleet management, car rental operations, vehicle dispatching, or transport logistics in Lagos.

Core Competencies & Skills:

  • Exceptional coordination, scheduling, and multi-tasking skills under high-pressure scenarios.
  • Technical understanding of basic motor vehicle mechanics and maintenance requirements.
  • Deep familiarity with Lagos road networks, traffic flow patterns, and inter-state travel logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, vehicle tracking software (GPS), and fleet management tools.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor for handling high-net-worth clients (luxury rentals) and corporate account managers.
