The first product sold by MCPL in 1996 was Indomie and since then it has played a seminal role in making Indomie a household brand in Nigeria. MCPL over the years has grown adding 13 brands in various categories comprising of Noodle, Snacks, Milk, Cereal, Oil, Homecare and Personal Hygiene.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency, compliance with company standards, and the effective utilization of manpower while maintaining high safety and productivity levels.
  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory movement, order picking, loading, and dispatch activities.

Core Deliverables

  • Ensure efficient execution of all warehouse operations.
  • Deliver timely and accurate operational reports.
  • Achieve daily productivity and dispatch targets.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and operational compliance.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Optimize manpower utilization and warehouse resources.

Other Job Functions
Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and equipment.
  • Support effective inventory movement and stock rotation.
  • Monitor daily warehouse operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Supervise inbound receiving, storage, picking, loading, and outbound dispatch activities.

Team Supervision:

  • Monitor staff productivity, attendance, and discipline.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain high employee engagement.
  • Allocate daily tasks and manpower based on operational priorities.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to warehouse personnel.

Operational Compliance:

  • Support internal audits and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse records and operational documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor compliance with FIFO/FEFO inventory management principles.

Safety & Housekeeping:

  • Report and investigate safety incidents where required.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of products.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping using 5S principles.
  • Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Coordination & Reporting:

  • Coordinate daily activities with Inventory, Logistics, Quality Control, and Transport teams.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Escalate operational issues promptly and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support effective communication across warehouse functions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in process improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Support warehouse automation and digital transformation projects where applicable.
  • Recommend best practices to enhance operational performance.

Job Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management.
  • Experience supervising warehouse teams in an FMCG environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and distribution operations.
