- We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics Officer to join our operations team in Lagos State.
Job Summary
- The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, ensuring efficient distribution, and maintaining optimal inventory and delivery processes.
- The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of optimizing logistics operations to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics and distribution operations.
- Plan and manage product transportation from warehouse to customers and distributors.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare logistics reports and analyze data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle delivery issues, discrepancies, and customer complaints related to logistics.
- Optimize routes and delivery schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
- Liaise with warehouse, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage relationships with transport vendors and service providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- 3–5 years relevant experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably within FMCG.
- Strong understanding of distribution, inventory management, and transportation processes.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management systems.
