Job Position: Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to oversee the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, contract management, procurement processes, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects at various stages of design.
• Performing cost control and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing and assessing tenders and contracts.
• Monitoring project progress and measuring variations.
• Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Preparing and issuing progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Conducting risk, value management, and cost control processes.
• Providing advice on contractual claims and procurement strategies.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Proper utilisation of human resources as well as materials.

Requirements

• HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
• Must be duly certified by a professional regulatory body
• Having a proven work experience of over 6-9 years in real estate and road construction.
• Good knowledge of cost accounting or cost management
• Strong managerial skills
• Good communication skills
• Ethical and diligent towards work
• Strong negotiation skills.
