We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead our production operations and drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Onitsha, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient operation of injection moulding machines and other production equipment.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production supervisors, team leaders, and operators to achieve optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor production processes to maximise productivity, minimise downtime, and reduce material wastage.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
  • Monitor production performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular management reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
  • Manage workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and training within the production department.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years' production management experience in a plastic manufacturing company, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, quality management systems, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • NYSC certificate or discharge letter
  • Proven ability to lead production teams and improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, particularly injection moulding operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production reporting systems.
