Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Zonal Coordinator to oversee and drive operational excellence across assigned regions. We are specifically looking for candidates with strong experience managing large-scale transport operations within Nigeria’s interstate passenger transport industry.

Job Responsibilities
This position is strictly for candidates who have:

• Held senior operational leadership roles within one of Nigeria’s leading interstate passenger transport companies
• Managed multiple terminals, fleet operations, interstate routes, and high passenger volumes across assigned zones
• Successfully operated in fast-paced, highly regulated, and performance-driven environments
• Demonstrated strong field leadership, operational discipline, and team management capabilities
• Candidates without significant experience in large-scale interstate transport operations should not apply.

As Zonal Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating interstate transport operations across assigned zones and terminals
• Monitoring fleet utilization, route efficiency, passenger service delivery, and operational compliance
• Driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and cost control initiatives within the zone
• Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks, revenue leakages, and service gaps
• Supervising terminal managers, operations teams, and field personnel to ensure KPI achievement
• Managing relationships with regulators, unions, security agencies, and local stakeholders
• Ensuring adherence to company safety standards, operational policies, and service procedures
• Supporting business expansion and operational improvements within the assigned region

Candidate Profile

• Candidates should possess an HND, Bachelor's or Master's Degree
• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in passenger transport operations
• Previous experience as a Zonal Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, or equivalent role within a reputable interstate passenger transport company
• Proven ability to manage multi-location transport operations effectively
• Strong understanding of Nigerian transport regulations and operational realities
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Commercially aware with strong operational reporting and analytical capabilities
• Results-oriented, disciplined, and execution-focused
• Experience managing large operational teams across different locations
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions.
