Job Title: Assistant Branch Accountant

Role Overview
- The ideal candidate will assist with financial reporting, account reconciliation, transaction processing, and compliance activities while ensuring proper documentation and accuracy in all financial processes.
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Branch Accountant to support the Branch Accountant in managing daily financial operations and maintaining accurate accounting records within the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Support inventory and stock-related financial reconciliations where required.
- Process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents accurately.
- Assist in monitoring branch expenses and ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and processing daily accounting transactions.
- Support internal and external audit exercises by providing required documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial information and transaction records.
- Reconcile cash, bank transactions, customer accounts, and other financial records.
Key Requirements
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 2years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or bookkeeping.
- Female will be preferred.
