Job Title: Project Manager (Engineering)

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Kwara, and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex building services projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper project documentation, close-out activities, and lessons learned are completed.
  • Conduct project reviews, mentor project teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain effective project communication.
  • Monitor project costs and optimize resource utilization to achieve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, contract requirements, HSE regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Represent the company at project meetings, technical discussions, and strategic engagements.
  • Oversee project scope, risks, changes, and quality assurance throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of project materials and equipment.
  • Manage the complete project lifecycle from planning and mobilization through execution, commissioning, and handover.
  • Prepare project valuations, claims, progress reports, and client presentations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years' post-NYSC experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection (MEPF) Engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience managing large-scale MEPF building services projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Current COREN registration is required.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
