We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, supervise, and manage mechanical systems within construction and engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient system performance, compliance with standards, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during project execution
Review project designs to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards
Collaborate with structural, electrical, and project teams
Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards
Supervise on-site mechanical works and ensure adherence to design specifications
Design and oversee installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
Monitor project timelines and provide progress reports.

Required Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building services
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within construction or related industry (mandatory).
Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools)
Good understanding of installation, testing, and maintenance procedures
Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Nigerian engineering standards and regulations
Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
Experience in project supervision and coordination.
Professional registration or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE)

Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
