We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a competent and experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, supervise, and manage mechanical systems within construction and engineering projects.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure efficient system performance, compliance with standards, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during project execution
  • Review project designs to ensure feasibility and compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with structural, electrical, and project teams
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
  • Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards
  • Supervise on-site mechanical works and ensure adherence to design specifications
  • Design and oversee installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
  • Monitor project timelines and provide progress reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building services
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within construction or related industry (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools)
  • Good understanding of installation, testing, and maintenance procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. / HND) in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Nigerian engineering standards and regulations
  • Experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects
  • Experience in project supervision and coordination.
  • Professional registration or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE)
