Job Summary

• They are serching for a Mechanical Engineer who will beresponsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment within the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• The role ensures efficient operation of production machinery, utilities, and support systems in compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment used in pharmaceutical production (e.g., mixers, granulators, compressors, HVAC systems).
• Ensure all mechanical systems operate efficiently to support uninterrupted production activities.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and safety standards in all engineering activities.
• Perform routine inspections of machinery and utilities to identify potential faults.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams to ensure equipment meets operational and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
• Supervise and guide technicians and maintenance staff.
• Ensure proper calibration and functionality of mechanical systems supporting production.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, HVAC systems, and utility systems.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional certification (e.g., COREN) is an added advantage.
