Skipper Eye-Q Super Speciality Eye Hospital is an International Eye Hospital chain with the presence of 30 in India and 5in Nigeria, handling all types of Eye Surgeries such as Cataract, Retina, Glaucoma, presbyopia, cornea, squint, refractive error, and other vision problems, having treated 10+ million patients. Our patients get the same treatment in Nigeria as in the US, UK, and India. We have been in eye care for 19 years and are HMO-empanelled in hospitals.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Technology (IT) Hardware and Network Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Information Technology (IT) Hardware and Network Officer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting the hospital's IT infrastructure, including computer hardware, networking equipment, printers, CCTV systems, biometric devices, and other IT assets.
  • The role ensures reliable system performance, network security, and minimal downtime to support uninterrupted clinical and administrative operations across all Skipper Eye-Q Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Support:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware faults promptly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all IT equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs and warranty claims with vendors.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and update asset registers.

Network Administration:

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network security and implement best practices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Configure and maintain VPN connections where required.
  • Ensure stable internet connectivity across hospital locations.

Systems Support:

  • Support email configuration and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Install and update operating systems and software applications.
  • Escalate complex issues to external vendors when necessary.
  • Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support to users.

Hospital Systems Support:

  • Assist with user onboarding, access management, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the Hospital Management System (HMS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Ensure IT systems remain operational during clinic hours.
  • Coordinate with software vendors during upgrades and maintenance.

CCTV and Security Systems:

  • Monitor storage capacity and ensure recordings are retained according to hospital policy.
  • Install and maintain CCTV systems.
  • Support access control and biometric attendance devices.
  • Troubleshoot DVR/NVR issues.

Data Backup and Security:

  • Test backup restoration procedures.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure antivirus software is updated.
  • Perform routine data backups.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices.

IT Asset Management:

  • Ensure proper disposal of obsolete equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Track equipment allocation and movement.
  • Recommend hardware replacement and upgrades.

Documentation:

  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain network diagrams and IT documentation.
  • Record service requests and resolutions.
  • Develop user guides where necessary.

Vendor Management:

  • Obtain quotations for IT equipment.
  • Liaise with internet service providers and hardware vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance.
  • Support procurement of IT hardware and software.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with hospital IT policies.
  • Support IT audits and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational data.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience supporting multiple locations is desirable.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in IT hardware and network support.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
