Job Title: Deputy Business & Sales Representative – Tech Start-Up

Job Description

  • In this role, you will assist the Business & Sales Lead in managing customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, executing sales strategies, and contributing to the overall business development roadmap.
  • This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Deputy Business & Sales Representative to support the company’s commercial growth in a fast-paced tech-start-up environment.
  • You will engage with clients, prepare proposals, take part in product demonstrations, and coordinate with internal teams—including product, marketing, and operations—to ensure smooth execution of client projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and report key sales metrics and provide weekly updates to management.
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, webinars, and networking activities.
  • Support the Business & Sales Lead in executing sales strategies and meeting revenue targets.
  • Participate in client meetings, product demos, pitches, and negotiations.
  • Assist in managing the sales pipeline, including lead qualification, follow-ups, and CRM updates.
  • Support account management activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct market research to identify new leads, customer segments, and competitive trends.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with the product and technical teams to translate customer needs into actionable requirements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes, sales materials, and go-to-market strategies.

Required Skills
Mandatory Skills (Role-Specific):

  • Project Coordination: Ability to manage tasks across multiple stakeholders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Communication & Presentation:Strong ability to pitch products, prepare proposals, and engage with clients.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Ability to gather insights, evaluate competition, and identify opportunities.
  • Sales & Business Development: Proven experience (or strong internship/apprenticeship exposure) in sales, business development, or account management.
  • CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive).
  • Tech Literacy: Familiarity with SaaS, digital platforms, or tech products; ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Confidence in negotiating terms, handling objections, and closing opportunities.
