Job Title: Junior IT Support Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical support to staff, assist in maintaining the Company's IT infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of IT systems.
  • Fhemfel Group is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Junior IT Support Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory records of IT assets and equipment.
  • Assist in setting up user accounts, email accounts, and system access.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support the setup of meeting rooms, video conferencing, and other IT-related events.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's IT policies and cybersecurity standards.
  • Perform routine system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and office IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, and internet connectivity issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and computer hardware.
  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
