VAS Developer (Intermediate, Specialist, and Consultant)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understanding of auditability and logging standards
• Experience supporting testing and issue resolution activities
• Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational guides
• Understanding of root cause analysis and quality improvement practices
• Ability to quickly adapt to evolving telecom technologies and platforms
• Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability requirements
• Familiarity with deployment processes and operational support environments
• Working under defined timelines and adapting to changing priorities and demand
• Awareness of secure integration and operational practices
• Ability to follow coding and operational standards
• Experience working within governance and support frameworks
• Working effectively within multi?disciplinary teams (product, engineering, QA, business)
• Experience with application development, APIs, enterprise integrations, and telecom platforms
• Ability to support multiple VAS services and initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, Business, or equivalent).
• Must have completed NYSC
• 7–15+ years of relevant professional experience, depending on role level (Junior, Intermediate, Specialist, or Consultant).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and delivery?focused mindset.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale digital, IT, or technology environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban), and cross?functional collaboration
