Job Summary

• We are looking for a meticulous Staff Verification Specialist to join our team in Ikeja.
• You will be crucial in confirming the accuracy of employment histories, addresses, criminal records, and educational qualifications to support the recruitment process.
• In this role, you will be responsible for conducting background checks and verifying the credentials and personal details of prospective staff, ensuring that all new hires meet the organization’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed reports to HR and management on verification outcomes.
• Conduct comprehensive background checks, including identity verification, address verification, criminal records, and employment history.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all verification results and flag discrepancies when needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during the verification process.
• Stay updated on industry standards and legal regulations regarding background checks.
• Handle candidate inquiries and resolve verification discrepancies professionally.
• Verify academic qualifications and certifications.
• Liaise with candidates, references, previous employers, and educational institutions for verification purposes.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external contacts.
• In-depth knowledge of background check processes and legal requirements for employment verification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and background screening software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in background verification, HR compliance, or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
