Millie’s British International school was established in September, 2018. We are situated in the prime residential area of Idi-Ishin, Jericho, which is within easy travel distance in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Our very attractive school building provides a perfect learning environment for our students who are drawn from Jericho and its neighbouring areas; we are also now attracting pupils from Iyaganku, Oluyole and Bodija axis too. The school’s families reflect the diversity of the area, including economic and social. Our current enrolment is encouraging, with high enrolments expected to be maintained in the immediate future.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: School Operations Manager

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will oversee admissions, administration, staff coordination, parent relations and operational systems, working closely with the CEO/Curriculum Director to ensure the school operates efficiently, professionally and in line with its values and standards.
  • This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the effective day-to-day running of our Nursery and Primary School.
  • We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, mature and proactive professional to join our leadership team as School Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Support recruitment, induction and staff documentation processes.
  • Manage admissions, enquiries and pupil enrolment processes.
  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the school.
  • Oversee facilities management and operational logistics.
  • Supervise administrative staff, ensuring high professional standards.
  • Contribute to school growth through excellent service delivery and effective admissions management.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for parents, visitors and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings and operational activities.
  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate administrative systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare weekly operational reports for school leadership.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity and accountability.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and digital administrative systems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in school administration and operations, educational management, admissions management or a similar leadership role.
  • Previous management experience working in a Nursery, Primary or Secondary School.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage people, systems and processes effectively.

Desirable:

  • The successful candidate may also be eligible for performance-based incentives linked to operational excellence, parent satisfaction, administrative effectiveness and agreed school improvement targets, together with annual salary reviews based on performance and contribution to the school’s growth and development.
  • Experience managing admissions and parent relations.
  • Familiarity with international or British curriculum schools.
  • Experience supervising teams and driving operational improvement.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month (depending on experience).
