Cable Pulling Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT), Lagos and Rivers

Job Description

• Carry out site preparation and restoration after installation.
• Assist fiber engineers with cable termination, splicing, and testing activities.
• Report damaged equipment, site hazards, and installation challenges to the Line Manager.
• Pull, route, and install fiber optic and network cables through ducts, conduits, trenches, and overhead pathways.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, riggers, and other field personnel to meet project timelines.
• Perform duct rodding, roping, and cable blowing where required.
• Operate and maintain cable pulling equipment and hand tools.
• Prepare cable routes by clearing ducts and ensuring pathways are suitable for installation.
• Secure and label cables according to engineering specifications.
• Assist in the installation of poles, brackets, cable trays, and other cable support structures.
• Travel to project sites as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Handle cables carefully to prevent bends, twists, or damage during installation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
