Salve Consulting Limited - Our client is a growing HR consulting and advisory firm based in Lagos, with over 5 years of experience helping organisations build stronger, more effective workplaces. They work with SMEs, corporates, NGOs, and government organisations, providing practical, people-centred HR solutions including recruitment, HR advisory, training, employee lifecycle management, and workplace culture development. They are a small, experienced team with a strong track record and an ambitious growth agenda. This role is central to that agenda.

Job Title: Business Development Executive

The Role

This is a mid-level, full-time role for someone who understands the professional services landscape in Nigeria and is ready to own our growth pipeline.
You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and converting new client opportunities across our core service areas: HR consulting, recruitment, and advisory services.
Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join its team.

What You Will Do

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM record of all leads, meetings, and deal progress.
Own and manage the business development pipeline from prospecting to close.
Develop and deliver compelling proposals and pitches in collaboration with the leadership team.
Represent Salve Consulting at networking events, industry forums, and professional associations.
Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform service development and positioning.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth client onboarding after deals are closed.
Identify and pursue new client opportunities across SMEs, corporates, NGOs, and government organisations.
Meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers — CEOs, HR leads, and senior management.

What We Are Looking For
Required:

Proficiency in basic CRM or pipeline tracking tools.
Comfortable working with targets and being measured on revenue outcomes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills — written and verbal.
Existing network in at least one of our core sectors: SMEs, corporates, NGOs, or government.
Understanding of HR consulting, recruitment, or people management services is a strong advantage.
Self-motivated with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close deals with senior decision-makers.
3 to 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisitionpreferably in professional or B2B services.

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with the Lagos SME or NGO landscape.
Prior experience selling HR or consulting services.
Active presence and network on LinkedIn.
Experience developing proposals or capabilities presentations.
