Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the warehousing industry. • As an integral member of our finance department, the Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with established accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

• The Accountant will work closely with other departments to facilitate the smooth operation of financial processes and to provide valuable insights into financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial trends and performance.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations of financial processes.
• Implement and maintain accounting controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial reporting and analysis efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role within the warehousing or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must reside in Umuahia, Abia State.
