Job Title: Professional Short Form Video Editor (Social Media)

Job Location: Remote

Job Summary:

• We are looking for a highly skilled and creatively driven short-form video editor to join our team, working on vibrant social media content for a public figure.
• This role is for an editor who truly understands what makes content engaging, someone who can take raw footage and transform it into high-quality, scroll-stopping videos across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• You should have a strong instinct for capturing attention instantly, maintaining engagement throughout, and delivering content that feels clean, intentional, and aligned with a strong personal brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts to a high professional standard
• Transform raw footage into polished, high-quality, engaging video content
• Create high-retention edits that capture attention within the first few seconds
• Develop strong hooks, pacing, and visual flow tailored for social media consumption
• Integrate clean subtitles, text overlays, and motion graphics that elevate the content
• Repurpose long-form content into multiple high-performing short clips
• Maintain consistency with brand style, tone, and messaging
• Deliver content efficiently while maintaining a premium standard

Requirements:

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality short-form video edits
• Proven ability to create viral-style or high-performing social media content
• Advanced proficiency in editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and After Effects
• High-level skills in text design, animation, and motion graphics
• Deep understanding of pacing, hooks, and audience retention
• Strong attention to detail with a clean, polished editing style
• Clear ability to transform raw footage into engaging, story-driven content

Preferred:

• Based in Lagos
• Experience working with creators, personal brands, or public figures
• Experience creating content in a style similar to “Diary of a CEO” with strong storytelling, clean edits, and engaging narrative flow
• Strong understanding of personal branding and how to reflect it through video content
• Understanding of current social media trends and platform algorithms
• Experience with long-form content editing is a plus
• Ability to take initiative and contribute creative ideas
