Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Engineering)

Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Overview

  • OSSAJ Technical Services is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Engineering) to lead and manage all engineering-related deliverables for U.S.based construction projects.
  • This roleis responsible fordriving engineering execution, ensuring that all design outputs, BIM models, and submittals are delivered on schedule, technically sound, and fully coordinated with field conditions.

Core Responsibilities
Engineering Delivery Management:

  • Own end-to-end engineering workflow across multiple projects
  • Validate engineering outputs for constructability and code compliance
  • Coordinate engineers for calculations, connection details, and support systems

BIM & Technical Coordination:

  • Lead coordination across MEP, structural, and equipment vendors
  • Ensure models are fabrication-ready
  • Oversee BIM/modeling production using Revit and AutoCAD

Submittals & Documentation:

  • Maintainturnaround timelines (2–3 weeks)
  • Manage shop drawings, calculations, RFIs
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness

Project & Schedule Management:

  • Manage engineering schedules aligned with construction
  • Track deliverables and milestones
  • Lead coordination calls with U.S. teams and GCs (flexibilityrequiredfor time zone overlap)

Preconstruction Support:

  • Assist estimating design concepts and VE
  • Define scope boundaries to reduce risk

Field Support:

  • Validateassumptions and support change orders
  • Provide remote engineering support to field teams

Risk & Quality Management:

  • Implement QA/QC processes
  • Identify technical risks early
  • Understand cost implications of design decisions

KPIs

  • Engineering cycle time
  • On-time delivery
  • Reduced field rework
  • First-pass approvals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Strong structural and construction knowledge
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in technical PM or engineering coordination
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • COREN certification
  • U.S./international project experience
  • Healthcare/data center experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to occasionally adjust working hours for critical coordination meetings
  • Must reside within reasonable commuting distance to Iyana Ipaja
