We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Member, Tax

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Support financial transparency and accountability within the organization.
  • Ensure all statutory filings and remittances are made on time.
  • Prepare financial and tax compliance reports for management.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management accordingly.
  • Calculate and remit taxes such as VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Company Income Tax.
  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Ensure the organization complies with tax regulations from authorities like the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
  • Perform tax reconciliations to ensure payments are properly recorded.
  • Maintain proper tax documentation and records for audit purposes.
  • Handle tax audits and respond to tax authority queries.
  • Support tax planning strategies to legally minimize tax liabilities.
  • Prepare and file tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Relevant professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Practical experience with tax filings (VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax) and financial audits is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience dealing with tax authorities such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations.
  • Relevant professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in audit, tax compliance, or accounting roles.

Compensation
This is a full-time role with competitive salary.
