Job Title: Tax Associate
Location: Sabo, Yaba – Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview
- We are looking for a technically sound and detail-oriented Tax Associate with hands-on experience in tax compliance and advisory.
- The successful candidate will manage tax filings, ensure regulatory compliance, and support client engagements within a structured professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns including CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (FIRS, LIRS, etc.)
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems
- Monitor deadlines to avoid penalties
- Respond to client inquiries professionally.
- Review financial records to ensure tax accuracy and compliance
- Support tax audits, investigations, and reconciliations
- Conduct tax research and provide compliance recommendations
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2 years experience in an audit/tax/accounting firm (MANDATORY)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/tax tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and filing processes
- ICAN/ACCA (or in view strongly preferred)
Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 monthly.
