Job Title: Supply Chain Management Advisor - Inventory

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Inventory Advisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Tamrose's inventory management framework to ensure optimal stock availability, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, and operational readiness across all business units.
  • The role provides inventory governance, analytical support, warehouse optimization, inventory reporting, and controls to ensure that materials required for vessel operations, maintenance activities, and corporate operations are available when needed while minimizing inventory carrying costs and stock losses.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Control:

  • Reduce stock-outs.
  • Establish minimum, maximum and reorder stock levels.
  • Recommend stocking strategies.
  • Optimize reorder quantities.
  • Implement ABC inventory analysis.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Coordinate inventory movements.
  • Improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensure proper receiving procedures.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance.
  • Support HSE compliance.
  • Improve warehouse housekeeping standards.

Inventory Accuracy:

  • Investigate stock variances.
  • Perform inventory reconciliations.
  • Support periodic stock counts.

Marine & Engineering Inventory:

  • Monitor vessel consumables.
  • Support maintenance planning.
  • Manage critical marine vesselspare parts.

Procurement Support:

  • Support demand planning.
  • Validate inventory before purchase requests.
  • Support sourcing decisions.

ERP / Systems Management:

  • Ensure accurate item coding.
  • Ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain inventory databases.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Participate in SCM improvement projects.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company procedures.
  • Support internal audits.
  • Support all detailedaudits.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline.
  • 5–10 years progressive experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Marine Logistics Oil & Gas, Engineering Services, Industrial Operations
  • Experience managing high-value technical inventory is essential.
  • Professional certification preferred: CIPS, CILT, APICS/ASCM, ISM, NIM, ICAN is an added advantage
  • Experience supporting ERPsystems preferably SAGE X3 is highly desirable.
  • Marine/offshore inventory experience is an added advantage.
