Job Title: Senior Technical Sales and Business Development Exexcutive

Location: Lagos

Description

  • The Senior Technical Sales & Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth for our client across marine, offshore, and oil & gas services in Nigeria and the wider West African region.
  • The role will be based primarily in Lagos, with frequent travel to Port Harcourt and other Nigerian ports, regional travel within West Africa as required, and occasional offshore or operational site visits.
  • This is a hands-on, service-sales role focused on identifying opportunities, building client relationships, participating in tenders, and securing contract awards.

Key Responsibilities
Marine, Offshore & Oil & Gas Services Sales:

  • Pursue offshore IRM, marine logistics, terminal inspection, berthing/loading master services and SURF?adjacent opportunities.
  • Originate and close opportunities across offshore, upstream, midstream and downstream service sectors.
  • Support entry into new accounts and service lines aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Develop IOC, NOC and indigenous operator accounts and convert relationships into awarded contracts.

Hull Cleaning & Ship Chandelling:

  • Position the Organistion's operational capability, rapid mobilisation and HSE standards as key competitive differentiators.
  • Expand ship chandelling activities including vessel provisioning, spares logistics and port?side support.
  • Secure framework agreements and standing service arrangements for hull cleaning, propeller polishing, underwater inspection and related services.
  • Identify vessels, operators, ship managers and port agents with recurring service needs and convert them into repeat customers.
  • Personally drive growth of hull cleaning, underwater IRM and ship chandelling services at Lagos and Port Harcourt ports and selected West African ports.

Relationship & Market Development:

  • Build and maintain senior?level relationships with IOCs, NOCs, indigenous operators, ship owners, managers and port agents.
  • Provide regular pipeline, forecast and performance reporting to management.
  • Represent the Organisationat client meetings, industry events and operator engagement forums.
  • Own personal revenue and margin targets and maintain a robust, well?qualified sales pipeline.
  • Act as interface between clients and internal operations teams.

Requirements
Education:

  • MBA or Project Management as a second Degree is a strongly desired
  • Related Technical certifications etc.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marine, Petroleum or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 continuous years in a senior technical sales or business development role within the Nigerian oil & gas servicing industry.
  • Proven experience selling services across marine, offshore, upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.
  • Strong, credible and active relationships within IOCs, NOCs and major indigenous operators.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales closures and project wins through relationship-driven sales and formal tenders.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian Content requirements and operator procurement processes.

Technical & Functional Competencies:

  • Technical background in SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) operations.
  • Strong understanding of underwater IRM and marine service delivery.
  • Hands?on offshore experience on rigs, FPSOs, DSVs or subsea projects.
  • Exposure to ship chandelling and port?based marine operations.

  • Commercially astute with sound pricing and negotiation capability.
  • Hunter mentality with strong opportunity-creation and closing skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management ability.
  • Technically credible with engineering, operations and HSE stakeholders.
