We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Stock Auditor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • The purpose of a Stock Audit Service is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of inventory records within an organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Conduct yearly and ad hoc stock audits in all Renaissance storage locations to improve the overall warehouse operations by highlighting any weak warehousing processes and business controls to deter pilferages or fraudulent practices.
  • Implement Yearly Stock Audit plan covering all Renaissance storage locations including those in third party warehouses.
  • Conduct yearly and ad hoc stock audits in all Renaissance storage locations to ensure accurate inventory records so that inventory quantity in SAP system corresponds with the physical stock quantity on the shelves.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards in stock management.
  • Identify obsolete, rusted, expired, deteriorated/ damaged and materials having leakages for immediate preservation and refurbishment during the stock count to reduce rate of replenishment as well as encouraging cost saving.
  • Conduct yearly and ad hoc stock audits in all Renaissance storage locations to ensure that inventory control decisions are based on accurate stock information.
  • Identify potential risks in inventory management such as inventory pilferages, inventory damages and bad inventory handling for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and Supply Base teams to ensure effective stock auditing for the company.
  • Identify surplus materials in the warehouse not coded into SAP for necessary mass upload.
  • Analyse inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify discrepancies between physical inventory and system records and investigate the root causes.

Qualifications / Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in inventory management, auditing, or supply chain roles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is often required.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to spot inconsistencies and errors in stock records and physical counts.
  • High ethical standards and impartiality in reporting findings.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
  • Efficient in planning and executing audits within set timelines.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Understanding of inventory workflows and control procedures.
  • Capable of investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
  • Clear reporting and ability to explain findings to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong ethical standards and impartiality in audits.
  • Strong skills in analyzing data, identifying trends, and interpreting audit results.
  • Ability to clearly document and present audit findings to stakeholders.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures.
  • Team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation (especially when discrepancies arise).
  • Adaptability to different warehouse environments and systems.
