We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Stock Audit Supervisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Purpose / Objective

  • Lead stock audit processes ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend improvements to inventory management systems and processes based on audit findings.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead and train audit teams on procedures and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor high-risk areas such as obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory.
  • Highlight surplus materials not yet coded into SAP for mass upload and proper tracking.
  • Identify and report obsolete, rusted, expired, damaged, or leaking materials for preservation or refurbishment.
  • Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system data, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to implement changes that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards in inventory management.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce replenishment costs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and supply base teams to strengthen stock auditing processes and controls.
  • Detect and report weak warehousing practices that may lead to pilferage or fraud.
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc stock audits to verify that physical inventory aligns with system records (SAP).
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze inventory data to detect trends, variances, and areas for operational enhancement.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback to improve audit quality.
  • Develop and implement the Renaissance annual stock audit plan covering all Renaissance storage locations, including third-party warehouses.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA are an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Inventory Management, Auditing, or Supply Chain Roles.

Core Competencies:

  • Understanding of inventory workflows and control procedures.
  • High ethical standards and impartiality in audit execution and reporting.
  • Skilled in investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate audit findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Efficient in planning and executing audits within defined timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret audit results and inventory data.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and audit methodologies.
  • Adaptability to diverse warehouse environments and systems.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, especially when addressing discrepancies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
