We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Function

  • The role oversees corporate sales, digital marketing, promotions, public relations, and business development activities while ensuring alignment with the hotel’s luxury hospitality standards and business objectives.
  • The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to increase hotel revenue, brand visibility, occupancy levels, customer acquisition, and market share.
  • The ideal candidate must be dynamic, results-driven, creative, and experienced in hospitality sales and marketing operations.

Role Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation:

  • Drive room sales, banquet bookings, conferences, events, and food & beverage revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities including corporate accounts, travel agencies, government clients, and event partnerships.

Marketing and Brand Management:

  • Strengthen the hotel’s market presence and competitive positioning.
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning across all marketing channels.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Coordinate advertising, promotional activities, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Digital Marketing and Online Presence:

  • Monitor online reputation and respond to guest reviews and feedback professionally.
  • Analyze online marketing performance and optimize campaigns accordingly.
  • Develop digital content strategies to increase engagement and bookings.
  • Oversee social media marketing, website management, SEO, and online advertising.

Corporate Sales and Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain relationships with corporate organizations, embassies, travel consultants, and event planners.
  • Ensure high customer retention through excellent relationship management.
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations, and networking activities to secure business opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with clients.

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Develop strategies to improve market share and customer acquisition.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Prepare sales forecasts and operational reports for management review.
  • Track sales performance, marketing ROI, and revenue targets.
  • Prepare sales and marketing budgets and monitor expenditures.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and supervise the sales and marketing team.
  • Conduct training and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, innovation, and target achievement.

Public Relations and Brand Representation:

  • Support promotional events, launches, and special campaigns.
  • Coordinate PR activities and maintain positive relationships with media and external partners.
  • Represent the hotel at business meetings, exhibitions, networking events, and hospitality functions.

Guest Experience and Service Coordination:

  • Ensure customer expectations are met for events, bookings, and hospitality services.
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure promises made to clients are delivered effectively.
  • Support guest satisfaction initiatives and service improvement programs.

Requirements
Experience / Qualification:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3–5 years in the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related discipline
  • Professional certifications in marketing or digital marketing are an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms is preferred
  • Experience in hotel sales, luxury hospitality, or corporate marketing is highly desirable
