Job Title: Medical Doctor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Medical Doctor to join our clinical team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment, and upholding the hospital’s core values of responsiveness, teamwork, efficiency, innovation, ethical practice, and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admit, manage, and discharge patients appropriately.
  • Perform minor medical and surgical procedures as required.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, examinations, and diagnosis of patients.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on preventive health measures and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe appropriate treatments, medications, and management plans.
  • Participate in ward rounds and clinical meetings.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and hospital training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Education & Professional Requirements

  • Valid practicing license.
  • NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • MBBS/MBChB degree from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council.
  • Completion of Housemanship.

Experience:

  • 3 -10 years post-NYSC clinical experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a hospital setting is an added advantage.
  • Experience in emergency care, obstetrics, pediatrics, or general practice is desirable.
