Dragnet Solutions Limited - Our client, a reputable multi-specialist hospital, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nursing Officer (In-Patient)

Location: Abuja

About the role

  • The hospital offers a modern, multidisciplinary clinical setting committed to patient-centered care.
  • This role involves delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in a 24-hour ward-based in-patient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vital signs and early-warning scores, escalating deteriorating patients promptly.
  • Lead admission and discharge processes and participate in ISBAR shift handover.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and timely nursing records and apply infection-prevention and clinical-governance standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately within scope of practice.
  • Maintain valid NMCN registration/licence and MCPDP compliance, and comply with internal policies.
  • Apply pressure-area care and falls-prevention measures for admitted patients.
  • Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team and support managed-care processes.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients within the stream.
  • Deliver bedside nursing care across the shift, including medication rounds, IV therapy and fluid-balance charting.

Requirements
Education:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from an accredited School/College of Nursing, or a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc/BSc Nursing) from a recognised university.
  • Completion of any required orientation/internship and NYSC (for degree holders), or a valid exemption where applicable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of post-registration (NMCN) nursing experience; newly registered nurses may be considered.

  • Additional registrable nursing qualification (e.g., midwifery or a relevant specialty)
