Job Title: Logistics and Operational Officer

Job Description

  • They ensure goods and services reach their destinations safely, cost-effectively, and on time.
  • An Operations and Logistics Officer manages the supply chain, coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory distribution.
  • This role bridges the gap between suppliers, production teams, and end consumers to maintain overall business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
The day-to-day functions of an Operations and Logistics Officer include both strategic planning and on-the-ground execution:

  • Transportation & Fleet Management: Coordinating with freight carriers, shipping companies, and truck partners to optimize delivery routes and minimize transport costs. [1, 2, 3]
  • Vendor Negotiation: Sourcing logistics partners, negotiating shipping rates, and tracking vendor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Supply Chain Management: Planning and overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of goods, from the procurement of raw materials to final delivery. [1, 2]
  • Inventory Control: Tracking stock levels, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring warehouses are organized and materials are appropriately stored.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Preparing shipping documentation and ensuring operations comply with local and international trade and safety regulations.

Salary
N100,000 - N250,000 monthly.
