We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Production Engineer

Location: Along Lagos Ibadan expressway, Close to Magboro or Mount of Fire Church - Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The Junior Production Engineer supports the efficient, safe, and cost-effective execution of production operations by planning and monitoring manufacturing activities, optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and coordinating equipment maintenance to achieve production targets while driving continuous improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Team Support: Assist in supervising, monitoring, training, and supporting production operators and junior staff to ensure smooth plant operations. Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee chemical formulation processes and ensure all batches meet required standards for concentration, purity, and physical properties.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a production environment.
  • Equipment & Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to execute routine and preventive maintenance on filling systems, capping machines, packaging lines, and chemical reactors.
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications and production data management. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure compliance with safety procedures, proper use of PPE, safe handling of hazardous materials, and adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Monitor production operations, identify equipment bottlenecks, and apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve yield.
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing or formulation processes will be an added advantage.
  • Production Execution: Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to meet volume and delivery targets.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum of a Second Class Upper) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Age Requirement: 26 – 30 Years.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in similar role in a similar role
