Job Title: Account Officer

Job Summary

• The account officer will support daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, process transactions, and ensure accurate documentation of financial activities within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budget monitoring and financial analysis.
• Monitor inventory and operational expense records.
• Assist in bank reconciliation activities.
• Ensure timely posting of accounting entries.
• Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Support payroll preparation and expense tracking.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and report findings.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
• Support audit preparation and statutory compliance activities.
• Prepare and maintain accounting records and reports.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Must be enrolled in a professional accounting certification programme (ICAN/ACCA/ANAN) and near completion if not yet chartered.

Experience:

• 2-4 years' accounting experience.
