Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will lead the design team, develop commercially successful collections, oversee the creative process from concept to production, and ensure every collection aligns with the brand’s vision while staying ahead of market trends.
• Our client is seeking an experienced Design Lead to drive the creative direction and product development of its apparel collections.
• This role is strictly for experienced Fashion Designers with leadership experience in garment manufacturing or fashion retail. Candidates without a background in fashion design, apparel production, or garment manufacturing will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor designers, technical designers, and pattern makers.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
• Oversee sketches, tech packs, fabric selection, and design reviews.
• Lead seasonal design planning and product development.
• Maintain quality standards and drive innovation across collections.
• Research global fashion trends and consumer preferences.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, tech pack development, and fabric selection.
• Previous experience with a fashion brand, apparel retailer, or garment manufacturing company is essential.
• Strong portfolio showcasing apparel collections, garment construction, and design leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Fashion Design, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
