We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

About The Job

  • As the Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering), you will be the technical expert supporting automation systems across the manufacturing plants.
  • You will also lead strategic engineering initiatives, including the organization's servo motor repair programme and industrial 3D printing for spare parts, helping to reduce costs, improve equipment availability, and introduce innovative engineering solutions across all our plants.
  • You will provide advanced troubleshooting for critical plant automation issues, improve system reliability, and drive automation excellence across the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system failures.
  • Coordinate industrial 3D printing initiatives for engineering spare parts.
  • Develop technical documentation, standards, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Lead the organization's servo motor repair programme.
  • Support automation standardization, modernization, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance for automation systems.
  • Partner with Plant Engineering, Production, Procurement, and OEMs to deliver reliable, innovative automation solutions.
  • Provide advanced automation support across all manufacturing plants.
  • Support critical plant incidents and improve automation system reliability.

Is This You?

  • Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, motion control, and servo systems.
  • Experience with servo motor repairs, predictive maintenance, industrial 3D printing, SAP, or bottling technology.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and fault diagnosis skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A proactive, collaborative engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
  • Practical experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, ABB, Danfoss, SEW, Lenze, or similar automation platforms.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation within FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, or process industries.
