Head, Transport and Distribution

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Transport and Distribution

Location: Oshodi / Isolo - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Supervise distribution personnel and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
• Prepare and submit periodic logistics and distribution performance reports to management.
• Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Maintenance to ensure uninterrupted product availability and delivery.
• Manage fleet utilization, vehicle maintenance, routing, and transportation efficiency
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all distribution and transportation activities across the Company's operations.
• Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (CILT, CIPSMN, etc.) will be an added advantage
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in logistics, fleet management, distribution, or supply chain operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial within a manufacturing, industrial gases, FMCG, oil & gas, or related industry
• B.Sc./HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related discipline.

• Inventory and cylinder asset management
