We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Dispatch and Logistics Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate must possess strong logistics management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining inventory integrity.
  • The product dispatch & logistics officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the efficient dispatch, transportation, and delivery of products to customers, distributors, stockists, and company outlets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track deliveries and promptly resolve logistics or dispatch-related issues.
  • Supervise warehouse loading and unloading activities.
  • Liaise with warehouse personnel, sales teams, transport providers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all logistics transactions.
  • Ensure all dispatched products correspond with approved invoices, waybills, and delivery notes.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and dispatch reports for management.
  • Monitor inventory movement and maintain accurate dispatch records.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor vehicle utilization, delivery schedules, and logistics performance.
  • Investigate and report product shortages, damages, or delivery discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the daily dispatch of products to customers, stockists, distributors, and branches.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in product dispatch, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within an FMCG company.
  • Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict delivery timelines.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and distribution processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
