Job Title: Electrical Planner

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

About the role

  • They prepare plans and provide technical specifications and safety procedures.
  • The Electrical Planner is responsible for assisting with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance, to improve efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tool list specific to the job
  • Work closely with inspectors and execution team
  • Determine cost involved for parts and supplies
  • Provide parts list with reference numbers and exact location for every work order
  • Prepare all planned maintenance that have to be carried out by the Electrical Execution team, service companies or contractors
  • Ensure materials and parts conformity upon receipt
  • Gather information needed for planning work orders in the Lotus Notes Work Order System
  • Ensure inventory and sources of spare parts are consistent with Lafarge standards, plant equipment reliability, and economic constraints
  • Work with Storeroom supervisor to update equipment parts catalogue, develop new lists, and tool lists
  • Ensure all technical specifications and special instructions are provided on paper
  • Add relevant information to improve understanding
  • Develop detailed job plans including sequences, downtime, man-hours required
  • Improve and maintain equipment files and history with the draughtsman
  • Review and update parts min-max
  • Incorporate into the implementation and maintenance of an integrated management system in the plant.
  • Inform section supervisor/engineer when a job is ready for scheduling
  • Define the scope of work
  • Establish and maintain system for proper storage of pre-works and pending work with supervisors and stores department
  • Ensure timely delivery of spare parts ordered by working with purchasing officers and WAPCO tracker database
  • Supervise some jobs and contractors during annual plant shutdowns

Education

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of fieldwork experience in cement industry.

Required skills:

  • Spare parts catalogue, requisitioning and inventory systemsWord, Excel, Microsoft Project Scheduler.
  • Work order tracking system
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
