Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly reviews of facility-level data with facility recorders and organize data reconciliation meetings to ensure that the collected data aligns with NHMIS data sources.
  • The DOA will also participate in quarterly client exit interviews (CEI) in facilities where he/she is assigned.
  • Enter assigned facility level data on DHIS monthly and ensure all data are captured correctly.
  • Conduct first level data triangulation.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data on program specific registers and NHMIS tools.
  • The DOA is expected to ensure that all MNH innovation services in the assigned health facilities are routinely documented in the appropriate NHMIS / Program tools / registers by designated facility staff.
  • Ensure date concurrence between registers and reporting platforms through frequent data triangulation.
  • Ensure that the monthly summary form is fully completed using data from primary data sources.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • 2 - 3 years previous experience in data collection, research, or fieldwork activities preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with data collection tools or software
  • Strong understanding of NHMIS data tools and reporting processes
  • Be resident in LGA of concern in Lagos State and possess good knowledge of the terrain.
  • Conversant with the use of Microsoft Office Applications – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated diligence and commitment in delivery of assigned deliverable (Added advantage).
  • A Master's Degree or higher would be an added advantage.
  • Should possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.

Work hours:

  • A DOA is required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and must visit the assigned facilities at least twiceweekly.
  • Frequency of Work:
  • The DOA will collaborate with facility staff on ANC days and ensure visits to coincide with ANC/MNH services delivery days.
  • The work schedule for a DOA is flexible and can be modified to meet the specific needs of the facility to which they are assigned.

Report:

  • Place of assignment:
  • Other duties as assigned by the M and E Lead.
  • The DOA will be allocated a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 health facilities, with assignments focused on facilities within the same LGA or neighbouring LGAs for operational efficiency. In cases of underperformance, DOAs may be reassigned to different LGAs as part of performance management measures.
  • The DOA will harvest data from all facilities he/she is assigned to and transcribe them to appropriate forms and platforms. The DOA will also submit a monthly report on assigned facilities to the project M&E Lead.
