Credit Officer Job

Key Responsibilities

• Assess applicants' creditworthiness by evaluating income, financial behaviour, repayment capacity, and potential risks.
• Conduct interviews with applicants and guarantors to verify information and support sound credit decisions.
• Collect, verify, and maintain accurate KYC documentation in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Carry out residential and field verification visits, documenting findings, risk indicators, and environmental assessments.
• Prepare clear credit assessment reports and recommendations for approval.
• Accurately upload client information into the loan origination system and ensure high-quality data integrity.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field with 2 – 3 years of experience in credit assessment, microfinance, asset or vehicle finance, or a similar lending environment.
• Good understanding of credit analysis, affordability assessments, and KYC requirements.
• Experience conducting field verification is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel regularly for field verification and client assessments.
